CUSCO - HYDROELECTRIC PLANT - HOT WATER
The adventure begins early in the morning with departure from Cusco between 6:00 and 6:30 a.m. in tourist transport.
The journey crosses the Sacred Valley of the Incas, passing through Ollantaytambo, before ascending a mountain road with panoramic views of the snow-capped peaks.
The route crosses the Abra Málaga pass and from there begins the descent into the cloud forest, where the climate becomes warmer and more humid.
After several hours of travel, you arrive in Santa Teresa and then at Hidroeléctrica, where you'll stop for lunch.
From Hidroeléctrica, a hike of approximately three hours (11 km) begins along a trail surrounded by vegetation, following the railway line to Aguas Calientes.
Once in town, you'll check in to your accommodation and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.
The evening is used to rest and prepare for your visit to Machu Picchu the following day.
