Day 1

Exploration of the Sacred Valley (Moray, Maras and Salt Mines)

The adventure begins with an early morning pick-up directly from your hotel to head towards the hidden treasures of the Sacred Valley.
Moray Experimental Center: Our first stop is this fascinating archaeological complex. You'll admire its impressive circular terraces that resemble natural amphitheaters. Here, our expert guide will reveal how the Incas recreated microclimates to adapt to diverse crops, demonstrating unparalleled agricultural knowledge.
Colonial Town of Maras: We'll continue to this charming town, famous for its cobblestone streets and invaluable colonial heritage. It's the perfect place to observe how the essence of Andean rural life is kept alive.
Maras Salt Mines: Just a few minutes from town, you'll witness a unique visual spectacle: more than 3,000 salt ponds embedded in the mountainsides. This site, operated since pre-Incan times, continues to be worked by hand by local communities. You can walk along the trails, enjoying the contrast between the brilliant white of the salt and the deep green of the landscape.

At the end of the afternoon, we will begin the return to the city of Cusco or to your hotel in the Sacred Valley, enjoying unforgettable panoramic views along the way.
