Day 1

Exploration of the Mountain Range of Colors and Stone Forest

Departure from Cusco: We begin the adventure with a pick-up from your hotel between 4:30 and 5:00 a.m.

Stop in Checacupe: After a 2-hour drive, we will arrive in the picturesque town of Checacupe. You will have free time to use the restrooms, purchase snacks or hydrating drinks before continuing.

Arrival in Palcoyo: We will travel for an additional hour to the community of Palcoyo (4,200 m.a.s.l.), where we will be greeted by a breathtaking view of the Stone Forest and the first colorful mountains.

Hike and Spiritual Connection: After a brief introduction from the guide, we will begin a pleasant 30-minute ascent. During the hike, we will observe South American camelids, and upon reaching the summit, we will appreciate the majestic Ausangate mountain (approximately 6,380 m.a.s.l.).

Ceremony and Free Time: We will participate in an offering ceremony to Pachamama (Mother Earth) and have free time to explore, take photographs, and enjoy the Rainbow Mountains.

Lunch and Return: We will descend to the town of Cusipata for a well-deserved lunch. Finally, we will return to the city of Cusco, arriving at approximately 5:00 PM.
