Cultural Immersion

Traveling through Cusco offers a unique opportunity to connect with the living culture of the Andes. From ancient Inca traditions to vibrant local markets, every corner tells a story that has survived for centuries.

Natural Wonders

Our itineraries are crafted to take you off the beaten path. Experience the dramatic contrast between snow-capped peaks, lush cloud forests, and turquoise lagoons that characterize the stunning geography of Peru.

Responsible Tourism

We are committed to preserving the destinations we visit. By choosing Four Ways Expeditions, you support sustainable practices that protect the environment and provide fair wages to local communities and porters.

Travel Essentials

Best Time to Go

The dry season (May to October) is generally considered the best time for trekking and sightseeing, offering sunny days and clear views. The rainy season (November to April) brings greener landscapes and fewer crowds, perfect for photography.

Altitude & Acclimatization

Most destinations in the Andes are at high altitude. We recommend spending at least 2 days acclimatizing before starting any strenuous activity. Drink plenty of water and try the local coca tea to help your body adjust.

Packing Tips

Weather in the mountains can change rapidly. Dress in layers (base layer, fleece, waterproof jacket). Don't forget sturdy hiking boots, sun protection, and a reusable water bottle to minimize plastic waste.

Book with Confidence

We operate with small groups to ensure personalized attention and safety. Our guides are certified professionals trained in first aid and rescue, ensuring you are in safe hands every step of the way.

The Andean Experience: A Deep Dive

Exploring Peru is more than just checking destinations off a bucket list; it is about immersing yourself in a world where history, nature, and spirituality intertwine.

Legacy of the Incas

The architectural mastery of the Incas is visible in every corner of Cuzco. From the precise stonework of Sacsayhuaman to the agricultural terraces of Moray, each site tells a story of a civilization that lived in perfect harmony with the environment. Our guides are passionate about sharing these stories, ensuring you understand the significance of every stone.

Biodiversity of the Andes

Peru is one of the most biodiverse countries on the planet. During your treks, you will transition from high-altitude ecological tiers where Alpacas and Vicuñas roam, down to the lush cloud forest filled with orchids, hummingbirds, and the spectacled bear. Respecting this fragile ecosystem is at the core of our operations.

Living Culture

The Inca culture did not disappear; it evolved. In the remote communities of the Andes, Quechua is still the primary language, and ancient traditions such as weaving and the offering to the Pachamama remain a part of daily life. Traveling with us supports these communities directly, helping to preserve their unique heritage for future generations.
