Waqrapukara Tour – Waqrapukara Peru Full Day Tour

We are going to begin early and we are going to pick up at 4:00-6:00 A.M at the hotel in Cuzco . We are going to ride by the highlands to Cusipata, across rivers, small villages, and gorgeous valleys. At Cusipata, we will have a buffet breakfast in order to get energy to go over the day.
Following the breakfast, we shall proceed on through a side route (Chuquicahuana) and observe the beautiful Pomacanchi Lagoon. The road will give us spectacular scenery of the Andes and the farmlands of the area. We will get to the Waqrapukara parking area, where the hike will commence. It will need approximately an hour to climb through rough highland terrain with breathtaking sceneries everywhere.
At Waqrapukara, we shall visit terraces, ritual stages, and huge stone walls. The history, architecture, and cultural value of the place will be narrated by our guide. Free time will be given to us to capture pictures, appreciate the scenery and absorb the Andes air. Should we be lucky enough, we shall have a box lunch on the spot of itself, in the midst of beautiful scenery.
Going down the ruins is going to be less demanding and will afford us an opportunity to rest and admire the scenery much more lazily. After getting to the parking lots, we will put back on our transport and ride back. The next thing we will do is to stop at the local restaurant and have a buffet lunch, relax our legs and have the traditional Andean food.
The road trip to Cuzco will be more picturesque in terms of valleys and villages. At about 7.00 P.M. we shall reach the Plaza de Armas and end a really memorable day.
