Sacred Valley VIP Tour
The Sacred Valley VIP Tour will begin at an early time in Cuzco where a hotel collection will occur from 6:20 A.M. to 6:50 A.M. The drive is northwards through twisting mountainous roads presenting panoramic sceneries of Andean mountains that are above 3,700 meters. The valley is colorfully introduced by rolling fields, rivers and little villages. Morning light will make the scenery stand and provide ideal photo occupations.
Chinchero with an altitude of 3,800 above sea level will become our first destination. The sites we will visit include the Inca terraces, a colonial church as well as the Textile Interpretation Center. The local women can even hand spin and dye alpaca and make clothes with the ancestral designs. Taking a stroll, we will have an impression on how people live in the Andes and absorb the local culture.
Then we shall proceed on to Moray, the Inca farm laboratory at 3,500 m above sea level. The circular terraces display the way the Incas tried to grow various crops on various microclimates. Our walk will include the terraces where we will observe the change in temperatures, and admire the ingenious agricultural strategy.
We shall then go to Maras, at 3,380 above sea level, where there are more than 3,000 salt pools in the sunshine. The families living in the area can even continue to extract salt in the old-fashioned manner, and thus, a contrast between brown soil and black stone is made. The mountains that are covered with snow are enclosing the area making it even more beautiful. Strolling around pools, we will observe Andean traditions at close sight and receive several taking picture opportunities.
The journey proceeds to Ollantaytambo at 2,792 meters above sea level, the sole fully occupied Inca town. We are going to see some narrow streets, running canals, and terraces to the Temple of the Sun. Tourists will read about the Inca architecture, their resistance against the Spanish, and past life. We will have some rest and have a buffet lunch in town to get to know the traditional Peruvian food.
At last we shall arrive at Pizaridaq, auck, at the elevation of 3, 250, above the ocean, and which is an interesting place with its terraces and ancient tombs. We will stroll through the terraces, visit the burial fields and view panoramic sites of the valley at the bottom. We'll also go back to the City of Cuzco after enjoying the history and the scenic beauty of the place and reach the Plaza de Armas by roughly six o'clock in the evening. The day will be flashed back by us as an inestimable experience in terms of culture, history and beautiful decor.
