Rainbow Mountain and Red Valley ATV Tour

We will begin the Rainbow Mountain and Red Valley ATV Tour quite early in the morning. Our hotels will pick people up at our locations in Cuzco in central Cuzco at a time between 3:40 and 4:00 A.M. Streets will be deserted, Andes will be shining with the sunrise, above the mountains. As we have been driving across the valleys we will pass by terraced farmland with grazing llamas, and small traditional villages.
In two hours or so we shall arrive at Quiquijana where we shall have a substantial buffet breakfast. Energy is needed to spend a whole day out on an adventure and the meal will provide that. We will be having local fruits, breads and hot drinks whilst taking up the fresh air of the mountain. Post breakfast, we shall proceed onward to Japura, the base camp of the ATV that offers spectacular country and rocky streams with a few.
Our guide will provide helmets and gloves and a safety briefing at Japura. Then, the fun really begins. Participants will be taken on a tour for about 70 minutes on the dirt trails and mountainous roads on ATVs. We will pass through the Red Valley and see mountains with snowy tops and alpacas grazing around us. This is a good photo where the earth is reddened with a rich red color, this can be combined with orange and yellow mineral deposits.
The ATV tour will be completed close to the bottom of the Rainbow Mountain Vinicunca. And here we will begin a comfortable 45 minute walk to the summit. The trail continues upwards steadily and with broad peaks of the other mountains, valley bottoms and colorful mountains. These layers are spectrum-coloured rainbows that will astonish us at an altitude of 5,200 meters above sea level. Our guide will discuss the formation of minerals and the stripes as well as give us stories about local Quechua communities.
The next thing to do upon completion of enjoyment with the Rainbow Mountain is to walk back to the ATV trailhead and ride on to Japura. The trip back offers us the willful moments and better scenery in the mountain routes. Then we will start off in a vehicle to Quiquijana where we will have an Andean buffet lunch that we really deserve. We will recharge our energy in the afternoon with traditional dishes that will be prepared using local products.
Afterwards in the afternoon, we will drive back to Cuzco , enjoying the scenery for the final time. At around 5:30-6:00 P.M. we shall be on to your position, having completed a good adventure, culture and colorful mountain day.
