Overview

The Machu Picchu Packages 4D/3N is thrilling adventure of the Andes and history of inca. Our tour shows us Cuzco , the Sacred Valley of the Incas, and the legendary archaeological site of Machu Picchu, where we will have a guided tour of ancient cities, terraces, and temples and explore beautiful Andes landscapes in a comfortable vehicle.

We arrive on the Cuzco  Airport on the first day and put on to our hotel. We go to the Plaza de Armas, local markets, and historical places, which are described within the context of Inca traditions by our guide. There is a slow rhythm, water and snacks assist in acclimatization to elevation.

The second day will experience the Sacred Valley where we are ordained by the Urubamba river and explore the traditional villages, exceptional terraces, and local markets. Lunch is followed by the tour of Ollantaytambo which is followed by the train to Aguas Calientes.

On the third day, we also visit Machu Picchu by bus and do the tour of the temples, plazas, and terraces and have time to take photos. Some traveleers decide to hike Huayna Picchu just because it gives a view you rarely see elsewhere. Later that day, the group heads back down into Aguas Calientes before boarding a train bound for Cuzco .

Early light fills the sky on our final day. Instead of rushing, we take time to wander toward Rainbow Mountain or soak at the hot springs near Aguas Calientes. After that, transport arrives to carry us back to Cuzco Airport. This wraps up the four-day, three-night journey through Machu Picchu.

Day 1

Arrival in Cuzco – City Tour Cuzco

The meeting point will be Cuzco Airport, where we will assume transfer to our hotels, which are located 3,399 meters above the sea level. Once we are checked in, we will have a rest and acclimatize to a high temperature. This will be possible with the help of water bottles and warm clothes to keep us comfortable.
We will begin our tour of the city of Cuzco at Qoricancha, the Temple of the Sun around 12:40 P.M. We will be going on to Sacsayhuaman a huge fort that had great precision in stonework. We will be walking through the site and our guide will explain the Inca ceremonies and culture.
We will then go to Qenqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay, where we can be informed on ritual and military history. At approximately 6:00 P. M. we are going to the Plaza de Armas experiencing colonial structures and local life. We will end the first day by photos and brief walks around the square.

Day 2

Sacred Valley Journey and Train to Aguas Calientes

We left after breakfast and went to the Sacred Valley which is one of the most beautiful places in the vicinity of Cuzco . It is fun in itself, as it passes amidst the Urubamba River, valleys of green, and Andes villages. We pause at picturesque points and visit magnificent Inca ruins where you can walk through ancient terraces and stone streets learning something about local history and culture.
We take some relaxation time at noon, which is lunch in the valley and you are allowed a bit of that local taste. After that we proceed to visit one of the key places, which is most likely Ollantaytambo, an Inca town of people that has huge amounts of stonework and is a lovely place to visit. It is a nice place to roam around and take photographs.
In the later afternoon, we go to the train station of Ollantaytambo and take a train to Aguas Calientes. It is an extremely scenic ride and it rides along the river along an expensive narrow canyon through jungle-like scenery. Spend the night in the hotel after being in Aguas Calientes and then you can take a nap before the big day tomorrow.

Day 3

Machu Picchu Day Trip

We begin in the morning, by a short ride on the bus to Machu Picchu. Coming in the morning is unique in that the clouds slowly clear away, snatching the ruins one after another. It is your first time actually to glimpse the Lost City of the Incas and it never fails to impress.
You also wander around the citadel with your guide taking between 2-3 hours. Certain landmarks like the Temple of the Sun, the terraces, and the Intihuatana stone will be visited, and with simple tales on how Incas lived and constructed this place. It has ample time to view and take photographs.
There is some free time at the end of the tour to digest it. We subsequently go back down to Aguas Calientes to have lunch or you may want to visit the hot springs. In the afternoon, you re-take the train and go back to Ollantaytambo and then a ride to Cuzco , which puts the trip on a great note.

Day 4

Last Morning and Departure

Then we will have the free breakfast at our Cuzco hotel. Leisure time will enable one to go out and have a walk around local markets, take pictures and go to the Plaza de Armas. This is now time to purchase souvenirs or experience the city feel.
Our private transport would then pick us up at the airport, which is Velasco Astete accordingly. Luggage and flight check-in will be done with the help of our team and the departure will be a smooth one.
We will reminisce into the four days spent sightseeing Cuzco , Sacred Valley, Rainbow Mountain, and Machu Picchu. The memories of local culture, Andean mountains, and Incas sites will keep with us ever.
